Chapter 1- Welcome To Oregon!
Hey everyone!! This week has been so crazy.
I finished up my time at the MTC, yay! It was such a good experience, and my testimony grew so so much. I finished with visitor's center training, and it was so good. My teachers, Sister Walker and Sister Reinwand, are so amazing!
My flight to get here was chill. I got the most elite combination ever, biscoff cookies and apple juice. And then I was in Portland. When I got here we got to go meet the mission president and his wife, who are the sweetest people ever! I met my wonderful trainers, Sister Weber and Sister Davis, who are literally the best.
The past couple of days have been good, but people aren't kidding when they say that a mission is hard. Even though I have met some wonderful people and have only been here for a few days, it has been rough. However, I know that Jesus has been there every step of the way with me and has supported and lifted me through tough times. I could say a bunch more about everything that happened, but quite frankly I think this is enough information to get people through the next week. Oh and I just decided to make my weekly emails the chapters of my mission because I love to read, and I think it's cute. So yeah.
Mini Spiritual Thought- through my hard times these past couple of days, I have found so much solace in the Book of Mormon and in the words of modern day prophets and apostles. I know that Heavenly Father is mindful of us, and He gave us these things and people to help guide us throughout life. I invite all of you to read the Book of Mormon every day this week, even if it is just a few verses. I promise that it will bless your life in so many ways.
Love you all!!
- Sister Willie
