Chapter 6: The Best News Yet!

Hello everyone! This week has been pretty great! 


We got to give some pretty amazing tours at the Visitor's Center this week. One was with a young man named Britton. He was really cool! We talked about temples and the covenants we make, and then I got to extend the invitation at the end. I was kind of stressed, but I did it! Then our other tour was with an amazing woman named Amanda Rose. She actually set the tour up herself and then invited the missionaries to come. She has such a desire to learn, and she brought some incredible friends with her that just bore their testimonies the whole time. It was amazing! Hopefully she will be baptized soon, because that is her next step. Like always, VC days are my favorite! Being near the temple is such an amazing blessing. 


Updates about Bob! Bob is such a groovy guy. We went to drop off some cookies at his apartment the other day, and he ended up playing us a song he wrote. It was really awesome! Then he came to the ward trunk or treat on Saturday! He seemed to enjoy himself, and he got to meet more members from the ward. Then we had a little lesson with him yesterday, and it was really great! He is taking baby steps right now, but he is still meeting and talking with us. So I call that a win!


Updates about Sean! Sean has been having a rough time, but he came to church on Sunday! He really enjoyed it, and we are so glad that we basically told him he had to come haha. The talks that were given were so perfect. Then yesterday a miracle happened! He texted us and asked about the process for getting baptized! So we were like, we have put this off for too long, lets ask this man to be baptized over the phone. We called him, and we had a wonderful lesson about baptism and the Gospel. Then... we invited him to be baptized, and he said yes!!! He is supposed to be baptized on November 18th. We were freaking out so much yesterday, it was literally so crazy! He has such amazing faith, and it was so cool to hear his testimony. Sean is the best! 


Spiritual Thought: I read an amazing conference talk this past week and I encourage all of you to read it. It is called "Endure It Well" by Elder Neal A. Maxwell from the April 1990 General Conference. It is such a powerful talk, and it has helped me as I have gone through hard days.

Chapter 66: Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone!! I hope you all had a wonderful day!  We had transfers last week, and my new companion is Sister Hailstone! She is also from Utah, and she is literally so sweet. I have already loved serving with her and experiencing her kind and thoughtful spirit. I am excited to serve with her this transfer, and I know that we will see miracles. And another little fun fact is that this transfer is 7 weeks long, and it is sadly my last transfer which feels so unreal to say. But I am excited to work hard in Glendoveer with Sister Hailstone!  This week, we have been trying to meet with our friends so Sister Hailstone can get introduced to them. And we have had some really amazing lessons with them. We had a wonderful lesson with our friend Mary, and we were able to find out a few of her concerns. Chapter 16: Saturday P-Day!

Hey everyone! I was at the Visitors' Center on Tuesday, so I have the rest of my P day today! Since it has been so long, I don't really remember what has happened, but I will share some highlights.  We have a new person that we are teaching! His name is Cooper and he is so cool! Sister Davis found him on exchanges so the first time I met him was at a scripture study group. He is interested in learning more, and we gave him a Book of Mormon!  Also, we stopped by our friend Brian's and we brought one of our members with us and they really hit it off! Hopefully, he will come to church now that he knows somebody. We are keeping our fingers crossed!  Another cool experience, we had a lesson with a super sweet older lady who is the mom of a member. She isn't interested in joining the church, but it was nice to talk with her and learn more about her beliefs. Chapter 61: Beaverton --> Gresham

Hello everyone! I hope you have all had a great week! We had transfers this past week, so I had to say goodbye to all of our friends and ward members in Beaverton and Summerlake. It was bittersweet, but I am so grateful for all the relationships I have made serving in these two wonderful wards.  I am now serving in Gresham in the Glendoveer ward!! I am companions with Sister Webb! She is super awesome and I am really excited to serve with her. Gresham is on the opposite side of the mission from my last area, so it is really different. But I know that this is where the Lord needs me to be and I am looking forward to all the people I will meet and serve!  I have already been able to meet quite a few of our friends and have lessons with them. Our friend Mary is so sweet, and we were able to have a really good lesson with her about the sacrament and baptism.
