Chapter 27: We Can Sleep On The Floor
Happy P-day everyone! This week has been such an adventure!
We had Zone Conference on Wednesday, and it was in this really cool old chapel. It was built in the 19 somethings, and I was in awe when I first saw it. It reminds me of a murder mystery place, in a good way! The conference itself was also really really good! I love meeting with other missionaries and getting to hear from our mission president and his wife. The Spirit was so strong, and I left feeling uplifted and ready to face the world.
On Friday, we went on exchanges! I stayed in our area and Hermana Squire came with me. We were able to get in contact with a friend who was being taught last year, and she said we could come back! Then we got a referral, which is when somebody fills out a form online saying they would like to meet with the missionaries. We called him, and he only spoke Spanish. So Hermana Squire was able to talk with him and give him the information for church! It was such a little miracle because I wouldn't have been able to understand or help him because I don't know Spanish.
The big adventure this past week is that we moved apartments! We had to pack all of our stuff and bring it to an apartment that is closer to our area. It was so crazy trying to get everything packed up, and we definitely went to bed later than we should have trying to pack everything. We finally got all of our stuff moved, but we don't have mattresses yet. So last night we all slept in the living room on the floor, and it was actually pretty comfortable. Also, the apartment we moved into used to be an elders apartment so there is so much random stuff in here. Including moldy fruit, Irish spring handsoap, an American flag on the ceiling, and golf balls in the fireplace.
Spiritual Thought: I am so excited for Easter this week! We all have the opportunity to reflect on the Savior and His last week. I am so thankful for Him and His Atonement. I don't know where I would be without Him, and I love that I have the opportunity to share my testimony of Jesus Christ so often. I invite all of you to take some time this week to think about Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for each and every one of us.
I love you all! Have an absolutely wonderful week!
Love,
- Sister Willie
