Chapter 33: If The Savior Stood Beside Me

Hello friends! Besides the constant rain and gray skies, this week has been pretty great!

We were able to visit with Angelina again this week, and she is so amazing! She told us that she has a hard time remembering to pray everyday, but when she does it has been really nice. She is so sweet and has such a desire to learn more!

We had such a cool miracle happen on Sunday! We went to visit someone that had met with missionaries in the past, and when we got to the house it looked under construction. Then we realized that she was living in a different house a few minutes away, but we decided to knock on the door since we were there. After we knocked, Juán came up behind us and asked who we were looking for. She had been sitting in her car in the driveway! We were able to talk with her and teach her how to pray. She is interested in coming to church and maybe doing a Bible study together! It is so cool how the Lord led us there, because that is where she would be!

We had Zone Conference this week, and it was so incredible! We had a member of the temple presidency and his wife come and speak to us. They shared such wonderful thoughts, and it made me reflect on how the temple has been such a blessing in my life. We were able to hear from our leaders and some of the other missionaries, and the Spirit was so strong. We got to go to the Visitors' Center after, and we had the opportunity to give a tour to a nonmember and his wife that we had met on Monday! They were so sweet, and they really appreciated the opportunity to walk around the temple with us. They plan on coming back when the temple is open, so they can see the whole thing!

Spiritual Thought: At the end of Zone Conference, President Botchway had us all sing the song, "If the Savior Stood Beside Me". It had been a while since I heard that song, and the lyrics really stuck out to me. One of my favorite parts of the song says:

"He is always near me, Though I do not see Him there, And because He loves me dearly, I am in His watchful care"

I love knowing that Jesus Christ is always standing right next to us and helping us throughout the challenges or hard times we may be going through.

Have a wonderful week! I love you all!

Love,
Sister Willie
