Chapter 43: God Is A God Of Miracles
Happy Wednesday everyone! We were in the Visitors' Center yesterday, so my extra p-day time is today!
This past week has been so crazy and so busy, but also really really good. We have seen some amazing miracles.
The biggest miracle was that Jenny got baptized on Saturday!! It was such an amazing thing to experience and get to be a part of. I was a little stressed for a minute about all the details, but God put everything together perfectly. After Jenny was baptized, she said that she feels clean and reborn. It was such a privilege to be there with her and it is something that I will never forget.
Last week, I mentioned that I am training a new missionary this transfer. Her name is Sister Rice, and she is so awesome! She is really sweet and funny, and we get along really well together. I know that God knows us so perfectly, because Sister Rice is exactly the companion that I need to be with right now. I am so excited to spend this next transfer with her and see so many miracles.
Also, one other new thing this transfer is that we are now going to be covering two wards instead of one. It has been kind of crazy trying to balance the two, but we were able to get in contact with a few of the friends that the Elders before us were teaching. So that has been good!
Funny story: our friend Jimmy came to Jenny's baptism on Saturday, and we told him that we would get him a ride for church the next day. Then we wake up Sunday morning, and he texted us at 5:30 saying he was going to ride his motorized chair to church and he was leaving at 6 oclock to make it to church at 9. It was so crazy, and he did scoot his way to church on his little chair. So that was a funny sight to see on a Sunday morning.
Spiritual Thought: One of the missionaries I serve with invited us to read a BYU devotional called Wrestling with Comparisons. It is so incredible, and I learned so much about how I need to stop comparing myself to others and focus on how God sees me. It really changed my perspective, and I want to invite all of you to read it as well.
Have a wonderful week! Love you all!
Love,
- Sister Willie
