Chapter 52: Elder Gong And Zoey’s Baptism=Best Saturday Ever!

Hello everyone! This week was really busy, but we saw lots of really cool miracles.

Saturday was literally so crazy, but it was so amazing. We had a mission wide devotional with Elder Gong!! We all had the opportunity to shake his hand and talk with him for just a minute. He is so sweet, and he had such a special spirit about him. He spoke a lot about taking care of each other and that we are called to be here. It was such an amazing experience, and you can tell how much he loves the Lord and this wonderful Gospel.

That same day, just about 1 hour after, Zoey got baptized!! It was so crazy having to drive back to the church building and get everything ready. We quickly found out that we didn't have keys to the closet with the jumpsuit that Zoey needed to wear, or to the font itself. Thank goodness the Elders were there and loaned us their key. It was kind of hectic trying to get everything ready and done, but in the end, it was such a wonderful day. So many people from the ward came to support her, and it made me so happy. I am so glad that I got to be a part of her special day!

Jimmy was able to come to Zoey's baptism, and he really liked it! He also said that his new favorite hymn is I am a Child of God. He is so sweet, and he is committed to stop smoking after today so he can get baptized by the end of this transfer. He has already told a bunch of people about his baptismal date, so please continue to keep him in your prayers.

Spiritual Thought: Part of this week was rather stressful, and there was a bunch of different things that kept popping up. During this hard time, I talked with one of the other Sister Missionaries and told her how I was feeling. In response she said, "All will be well because of temple covenants". Which is the title to a General Conference talk from this past conference. It really helped bring everything into perspective, and I was able to feel peace. I would love to invite all of you to read that talk, and I know that you will feel the same peace that I did.

I love you all!! I hope you have a spectacular week!

Love,
-Sister Willie
