Chapter 56: I Love Our Friends And The Visitors' Center

Hello everyone! Another week has flown by, which is so crazy. I hope you all had a happy week!

We were finally able to meet with our friend Jan again, after not meeting with her for a while. She is super sweet and super awesome. We talked all about baptism, and then we invited her to be baptized! She said that it is something that she wants to do, but she wants to make sure she is ready and that the timing is right. We invited her to pray about it, and she was excited to do that. So keep Jan in your prayers, and hopefully she will be able to receive an answer and make her first covenant with God soon! 

This week was absolutely amazing at the Visitors' Center! We got to give some pretty awesome tours to some amazing people. First was to an older woman that had lots of questions, and we were able to answer them and help her feel peace while at the temple. Then the Elders told us that the next time they met with her, she said how much she loved it and how she might be coming to church on Sunday!! We also gave a tour to our AP's friend, Whitney, and she is literally so amazing. The tour was so full of the Spirit, and she is really excited to be baptized and come back to the temple so she can do baptisms for the dead. On Saturday, 3 people came in who are not members of the church, and they had some questions about the temple. We answered their questions, showed them around, and took them inside the atrium. It was a really great experience, and they were super cool. I love being able to have these experiences at the Visitors' Center every week. 

We were able to meet with Jimmy a couple of times this week, and he is doing pretty good. He is recognizing the Spirit more in his life, and he isn't blaming God anymore for the problems that he has which is a huge step for him. Yesterday, we were able to talk about Joseph Smith, and Jimmy let us know that he knows Joseph Smith is a prophet. It was so awesome! He is still trying to get over his smoking, so please keep him in your prayers as well. 

Spiritual Thought: I love the powerful effect that music has on people, and how it can help us feel peace and feel the Spirit. Since Conference last week, I have been obsessed with two songs that were sung by the choirs. One is God's Gracious Love and When the Savior Comes Again. I love the messages that both of them convey and the Spirit that comes when I listen to them. I would love to invite you all to find a song that helps you feel peace and add it to your playlist.

Chapter 45: Just Living Life

Hi family, friends, and fellow missionaries! I hope you have all had a wonderful week. This week has been crazy and fun all at the same time.  We went to go and visit a man named Omar that the Elders were teaching before we started covering the area. So we knocked and he let us in! We were so excited to talk to him and teach him, and then it kind of went downhill from there haha We didn't get a word in pretty much the whole time, and he just talked all about how there are so many words, including Jesus Christ, that have so much pagan influence to them that he refuses to say them. So half of our conversation, he was just spelling words at us. So.... it was a really interesting conversation, and we were glad to be out of there. Chapter 52: Elder Gong And Zoey’s Baptism=Best Saturday Ever!

Hello everyone! This week was really busy, but we saw lots of really cool miracles.  Saturday was literally so crazy, but it was so amazing. We had a mission wide devotional with Elder Gong!! We all had the opportunity to shake his hand and talk with him for just a minute. He is so sweet, and he had such a special spirit about him. He spoke a lot about taking care of each other and that we are called to be here. It was such an amazing experience, and you can tell how much he loves the Lord and this wonderful Gospel.  That same day, just about 1 hour after, Zoey got baptized!! It was so crazy having to drive back to the church building and get everything ready. We quickly found out that we didn't have keys to the closet with the jumpsuit that Zoey needed to wear, or to the font itself. Thank goodness the Elders were there and loaned us their key. Chapter 53: New Skills Unlocked

Happy Wednesday everyone! We took our turn in the Visitors' Center this Monday, so we get the rest of our P-day today!  Last Wednesday, for our Visitors' Center Training, we had the opportunity to help on the grounds of the temple. With a few other Sisters, we helped plant Vinca, commonly known as Periwinkle, by the reflection pool. It was really fun to be able to help the gardeners make the temple look beautiful. After we were done, the head gardener, Brother Yates, shared his conversion story with us. It was so cool to hear how the Gospel had changed him, and how he had helped others come closer to Christ throughout his life.  This week, we got to go on exchanges! I stayed here in our area, and Hermana Barnes came with me. It was such a fun day, and we saw so many different miracles. We had a lesson with our friend, and she was able to receive a priesthood blessing. It was a very powerful, spiritual experience for her and for us. Then, she came to church on Sunday!! We also ...
