Chapter 69: Miracles Are Everywhere

Hello again everyone! I know that you just got an email a couple of days ago, but here is another one haha We had such a crazy week, but we saw so many miracles!

One of the biggest miracles happened with our recent convert Esperance. She is 15 and her dad wants to make sure she is safe, so he won't let her go to any of the youth activities because they are at night. However, we really want her to be able to go to the temple, so we took some members from our ward and went to visit him this past week and ask if she could go. We were able to teach him and the family about the temple, and our members bore such powerful testimony. And... he said she can go to the temple on a Saturday morning!!! We are so excited!!

Another awesome thing that happened this week is that we were able to have a few lessons with our friend Mary. She had a lot of questions when we went to visit her on Saturday, and as we answered them, you could see the Spirit was teaching her truth. She asked us about the qualifications for baptism, so we went over the baptismal interview questions with her, and she said that she wants to be baptized! However, she said the only thing that is keeping her from that is coffee, so please keep her in your prayers so she can get baptized soon!

We were able to serve at the Visitors' Center quite a few days this past week, and it was so amazing! I love the Spirit that is found at the temple, and it was something that I really needed to feel this past week. We were also able to give a virtual tour to a man named Gerard who is from Ireland. He doesn't have a temple close to him yet, so he likes to have tours so he can still be around the temple in some way. So it was a super fun and awesome tour!

A funny story that happened this week is that we were able to go over and see a referral. She is super sweet and just moved from Kenya, so she doesn't speak much English. So the lesson was a little bit difficult because she speaks Swahili and Kingyrwandan (I don't think I spelled that right), but she is so sweet and she has such a desire to learn more about Jesus Christ. She was cooking the whole time we were there, and she wanted us to stay and eat with her, which was so sweet, but we had to get going because of another appointment. She did say she would cook for us again, so I will keep you updated on how that goes haha

Spiritual Thought: "And I have been supported under trials and troubles of every kind, yea, and in all manner of afflictions; yea, God has delivered me from prison, and from bonds, and from death; yea, and I do put my trust in him, and he will still deliver me. (Alma 36:27)"

I read this scripture a few days ago, and I love it so much! I love how God will support us in all of our trials and struggles, and no matter what happens, he will STILL deliver us. As we turn to Him, He will always be there to help us.

I hope everyone has a great week! I love you all!

Love,
- Sister Willie
