Chapter 1- Welcome To Oregon!

Hey everyone!! This week has been so crazy.    I finished up my time at the MTC, yay! It was such a good experience, and my testimony grew so so much. I finished with visitor's center training, and it was so good. My teachers, Sister Walker and Sister Reinwand, are so amazing!    My flight to get here was chill. I got the most elite combination ever, biscoff cookies and apple juice. And then I was in Portland. When I got here we got to go meet the mission president and his wife, who are the sweetest people ever! I met my wonderful trainers, Sister Weber and Sister Davis, who are literally the best.    The past couple of days have been good, but people aren't kidding when they say that a mission is hard. Even though I have met some wonderful people and have only been here for a few days, it has been rough. However, I know that Jesus has been there every step of the way with me and has supported and lifted me through tough times. I could say a bunch more abou...

Hey everyone! My P-day got switched to Wednesday for my last week here. But don't worry, it will be back to the normal Tuesday next week.   This past week has been crazy. I honestly can't remember everything that happened. But I did have to say goodbye to my district this week, which was sad. But luckily we were able to spend time with them before they left. And I found out that I am pretty good at connect 4. I beat two people in my district, so that was super fun. Anyways *climbs on soapbox* my district is so amazing! They were probably the biggest blessing in my life during the MTC. Their testimonies are so strong, and they helped me strengthen mine throughout the two weeks we spent together. They are all going to be amazing missionaries. I love them all so much! *climbs off soapbox*   I started visitor's center training on Thursday last week, and it has been going pretty well. We are focusing on how to connect with people and changing plans to meet their needs. Going alo...

MTC Week 2

Hey everyone!    This week at the MTC seemed to fly by. It's been so crazy. Honestly I have a hard time remembering what we even did, the days just all blend together. But we were able to celebrate one of our elders' birthdays which was fun. We have all been playing volleyball a lot, and I basically carry my team. Haha just kidding, but I am getting better.    On the more spiritual side of things, we were able to go and do sealings as a district which was so much fun. While I was there, my testimony of eternal families grew so so much. I just love the temple, also I was able to study Jesus Christ and His Atonement this past week, and my testimony has been strengthened and my love for Him has grown so much. I am so thankful for Him and His sacrifice for us, and I know that He loves us and can help us when we are having a hard time.    My whole district leaves this week besides me and companion, because we are in the visitor's center and need some training fo...

MTC Week 1

Image
Hey everyone!    I got to the MTC on Wednesday, and have been here ever since haha. Anyways, I'm missing home, but the spirit here is just the most amazing thing. I love being a missionary because I can feel the spirit like 98% of the time. Classes have been good, just long and tiring. My district is great, we have so many different personalities that seem to mesh so well together. We have been able to do almost all of the temple appointments or whatever you want to call them. And that has been so great, I just love the temple so much!! We also played sand volleyball and basketball which has been super fun. And I'm not as bad as I originally thought I would be, so that's good. The food here is kind of interesting, and that's all I'm going to say about it. Other than that I've been great! And I actually have pictures to share this time!! - my district at the temple  - a beautiful sunset, featuring elder Kasteler - the temple, featuring elder Kasteler and Miller  ...
