Chapter 10: P-day On A Thursday?

Hello everyone! I hope you all had an amazing week! You are receiving this email today because each companionship in the Visitors' Center has to take a turn being in the Visitors' Center on P-day, so it was our turn this Tuesday. Since we are giving up part of our p-day, we get to take an extra 5 hours of p-day another day, and that day is today. (hopefully that makes sense)

This past week was great! We got to celebrate Thanksgiving, which is my favorite holiday. We got fed by two families in the ward, so we were rolling into the apartment by the end of the day. It was nice to reflect and think about what I am thankful for. There are so many things, but I'm thankful for my family, the temple, and the opportunity I have to be a missionary.

Friday was absolutely insane! We got to do service for our friend Brian. We looked outside and it was sunny, so we were excited. Until we walk out the door and it is 32 degrees outside, and Brian wants us to help him wash his trailer. We were so cold and wet by the end, so lesson learned, check the temperature before you go outside. After that we had a phone lesson with our new friend Kyle! He was a media referral, so he responded to a Facebook post wanting to learn more. It was absolutely incredible. He is such a cool guy, and I can't wait to see him continue to progress. Then later in the day, we were able to go and visit an inactive member for the first time! He was so sweet, and he said that we could come by again to talk and read the Book of Mormon together. It was a little miracle.

Then yesterday, we had zone training which was incredible. We got to practice teaching on the other missionaries, and our "lesson" went so well! It was so much fun. Then we went back to the Visitors' Center, and my district leader from the MTC, Elder Rawlins, came in. It was so cool to see and talk with him again!

Spiritual thought (kind of)- now that Thanksgiving is over, it's Christmas time! I love the holiday season, and I love how the church does Light the World. It is so important to serve those around us and love them as the Savior would. I invite you all to look up the new list that the church has put out, and try to accomplish as many as you can this Christmas season.

I love you all! Have a wonderful week, and stay warm!

Love,
