Chapter 18: 5 Months!

Image
Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful week! I hit my 5 month mark on Sunday which is absolutely crazy!  This week has been pretty good. We were stuck inside until Thursday, so me and Sister Davis went on a few walks. Which was basically us just trying not to slip on all the ice haha We were able to have two lessons with Lorelai this week, and she is so incredible! Her testimony has grown so much, and she is excited to keep reading the Book of Mormon and continue to learn more about the Gospel. Also, we had a phone lesson with Sean and Bob! They were both really good, and the Spirit was strong even over though we weren't in person. On Thursday, we got to go and have dinner with a non member family, and they were so sweet! We taught them about our beliefs and standards, and it was a really cool experience.  Saturday, I went on exchanges with Sister Hadley! We stayed here in Lakeridge, and it was so much fun! We had some really funny experiences and some really spiritual...

Hello again everyone! It feels like I just wrote an email haha. This week has been so crazy!  On Wednesday, we have Visitor Center training, and we got to go and do sealings together! It was so much fun, and the Spirit was so strong! Then we gave a really awesome tour to a lady named Elizabeth, and she was the sweetest thing.  Thursday, we got to have a lesson with Cooper and read a few chapters from 3 Nephi with him. It was really good, and he told us that he really needs Jesus right now so he is glad that we found him! It was so awesome, and hopefully he will come to church this coming Sunday. Also, I got to play badminton with Sister Brough who was my middle school P.E. teacher and I won!! It was definitely an exciting moment for me haha  Then something crazy happened! There was a big snow storm and our power went out, so our apartment was freezing in no time. We called and talked with one of the senior missionaries who said we could come and stay with them until the p...

Chapter 16: Saturday P-Day!

Image
Hey everyone! I was at the Visitors' Center on Tuesday, so I have the rest of my P day today! Since it has been so long, I don't really remember what has happened, but I will share some highlights.  We have a new person that we are teaching! His name is Cooper and he is so cool! Sister Davis found him on exchanges so the first time I met him was at a scripture study group. He is interested in learning more, and we gave him a Book of Mormon!  Also, we stopped by our friend Brian's and we brought one of our members with us and they really hit it off! Hopefully, he will come to church now that he knows somebody. We are keeping our fingers crossed!  Another cool experience, we had a lesson with a super sweet older lady who is the mom of a member. She isn't interested in joining the church, but it was nice to talk with her and learn more about her beliefs. She said we could come back and visit again, so that is awesome!  Spiritual Thought: I am so excited we get to study ...

Chapter 15: Happy New Year!

Hello everyone! Happy New Year! This week has felt so long but so short at the same time.  On Wednesday, when I was at the Visitors' Center, I met Katie and McKay. They were so sweet, and Katie's parents are the temple president and matron of the Brigham City Temple! Which is the temple I went through for the first time. We had a wonderful discussion about temples and the blessings that they bring into our lives. It was so awesome to meet them, and I know that it wasn't a coincidence.  We were able to go over to Sean's house this week and have a lesson with him about the temple. It was so awesome because we got to bring a young man from our ward who will be leaving on his mission in a few months. The lesson went really well, and hopefully Sean can get a temple recommend soon. Then a few men from the ward came to give Sean a blessing and it was such an incredible experience. The Spirit was so strong, and he was so grateful.  On Friday, we had zone conference. Which is wh...
