Chapter 17: Snow Is Falling And So Are The Trees

Hello again everyone! It feels like I just wrote an email haha. This week has been so crazy!

On Wednesday, we have Visitor Center training, and we got to go and do sealings together! It was so much fun, and the Spirit was so strong! Then we gave a really awesome tour to a lady named Elizabeth, and she was the sweetest thing.

Thursday, we got to have a lesson with Cooper and read a few chapters from 3 Nephi with him. It was really good, and he told us that he really needs Jesus right now so he is glad that we found him! It was so awesome, and hopefully he will come to church this coming Sunday. Also, I got to play badminton with Sister Brough who was my middle school P.E. teacher and I won!! It was definitely an exciting moment for me haha

Then something crazy happened! There was a big snow storm and our power went out, so our apartment was freezing in no time. We called and talked with one of the senior missionaries who said we could come and stay with them until the power came back on. Then as we were getting ready to go, a tree fell on our apartment and blocked the staircase to get out. So we had to ninja our way through with all of our stuff. We ended up staying at the Broughs, the senior couple, for two nights. It was insane, but so much fun. They made all the missionaries that live around us Sunday dinner, and we got to spend a lot of time with them. Because of all the snow we can't drive, so our day consists of calling and texting people, Facebook, and studying. One cool thing that happened was Brian has started to answer our calls, and he called us yesterday! It is so amazing to see how the Spirit is softening his heart. Also, because of all the Facebook time, I got to send my first ever Facebook referral to some elders in the mission! Since we can't drive, yesterday, us and the elders that live close by all walked to Olive Garden together, and it was a blast! I love the missionaries I get to serve with, and I am so thankful for them!

Spiritual Thought: This week I have been reminded time and time again that I am a beloved daughter of Heavenly Father, and He knows and loves me. One of my favorite verses from The Book of Mormon is 1 Nephi 11:17. Nephi didn't know the meaning of everything, but he knew that God loves His children.

Have an amazing week everyone and stay warm. I love you all!!

Love,
- Sister Willie
