Chapter 32: I'm Trying To Be Like Jesus
Happy Tuesday! This week has been crazy amazing!
We were able to get in contact with a woman who has been taught before. Her name is Angelina, and she is literally so incredible! We had a lesson with her on Wednesday, and holy cow! She is so prepared to hear the Gospel. We were able to help her understand the Atonement of Jesus Christ and that God is her loving Heavenly Father. It was amazing to see the Spirit teach her and her understanding grow. Her heart is so open to the plain and precious truths of the Gospel, and I am excited to see her learn more and feel the peace that the Gospel brings.
Saturday at the Visitors' Center was really great! We gave a tour around the temple to one of our new friends Garrett. He was really nice and really quiet, so we aren't sure exactly what he thought. But he took a Book of Mormon and a Bible, and he seemed interested in coming to church. So we will keep reaching out and see what happens! Then such a sweet miracle happened! I came out of the back room after having a little snack, and Lorelai was standing there! It was so amazing to see her again! We were able to talk and watch a Conference talk together. It was really nice, and such a tender mercy from the Lord.
Yesterday, we got to have another lesson with our friend Mia! We taught her the Plan of Salvation, and her mom was able to join us. It was a really sweet lesson, and hopefully she will be able to come to church this week! Then as we were leaving, she gave us each a box of Hawaiin chocolates, so that was really cool.
Spiritual Thought: This week I have been studying and pondering on Christlike attributes. As missionaries, we are encouraged to develop these attributes and strive to become more like Jesus Christ. I have really enjoyed studying and picking out attributes that I want to work on. I invite all of you to pick a Christlike attribute you want to try and develop this week. It could be faith, charity, integrity, obedience, etc. I have already felt closer to my Savior as I have strived to become more like Him, and I know you will too!
I love you all so much! Have a fabulous week!
Love,
- Sister Willie
