Chapter 71: Live, Laugh, Love

Image
Happy P-day everyone! This week was wild and really busy, but it was really good! We have been able to have quite a few lessons with our friend Mary this week! We talked about the Gift of the Holy Ghost and how He can help lead and guide us. Then we invited her to be baptized and she wants to work towards the 15th of February! We are so excited to continue teaching her and helping her prepare. She came to church on Sunday with her son, and it was awesome! Please keep her in your prayers, so she will be able to be baptized on the 15th! We had some really fun days at the Visitors' Center this week. We gave tours to quite a few people that are preparing to be baptized, and it was so cool to teach them about what the temple is and how they can go inside soon! We also gave a temple tour to our friend Mary (a different one than the one mentioned before haha) She loved the peace that she felt on temple grounds and wants to come back!  I had lots of different meetings this week which inclu...

Chapter 70: New Zealand Accent Activated

Hey everyone! I hope you have had a fabulous week! We were able to give quite a few temple tours this week! One was to an 82 year old woman named Faye, and she loves making fun of the Elders just as much as I do haha We were also able to give a pop up tour (so we didn't know anything about who was coming). It was amazing to see how the Spirit helps you know what to teach. It was such a powerful spiritual experience for me and for the friend that the Elders brought.  On Saturday, I got to go on exchanges! I went with Sister Willis in her area which is a polynesian and micronesian ward. And Sister Willis is from New Zealand, so that added to the coolness of the day. We got to visit a few of their friends and some referrals. Then we had dinner with a family in their ward, and they literally made a feast for us complete with ribs, fried chicken, rice, chop suey, cake, and ice cream. And she made us both two giant plates to go! It was so crazy, but it was so fun! I loved being able to s...

Chapter 69: Miracles Are Everywhere

Image
Hello again everyone! I know that you just got an email a couple of days ago, but here is another one haha We had such a crazy week, but we saw so many miracles! One of the biggest miracles happened with our recent convert Esperance. She is 15 and her dad wants to make sure she is safe, so he won't let her go to any of the youth activities because they are at night. However, we really want her to be able to go to the temple, so we took some members from our ward and went to visit him this past week and ask if she could go. We were able to teach him and the family about the temple, and our members bore such powerful testimony. And... he said she can go to the temple on a Saturday morning!!! We are so excited!! Another awesome thing that happened this week is that we were able to have a few lessons with our friend Mary. She had a lot of questions when we went to visit her on Saturday, and as we answered them, you could see the Spirit was teaching her truth. She asked us about the qua...

Chapter 68: New Year, New Me (Through Christ)

Image
Happy Friday everyone!! We served in the Visitors' Center on Monday, so we are taking our extra pday today. I'm trying to remember what happened this week, but my memory isn't the best, so this might be a short email haha This past week at the Visitors' Center, we got to give a tour to a young mom named Tupou! She is a member who is coming back to church, and the Sisters that are helping her are in my zone. It was such a great tour and the Spirit was so strong. She has such a strong desire to repent, so she can come inside the temple! It was so great, and the Sisters brought another member named Sister Tatafu, and I got to serve with her in Beaverton. It was really great to see her and talk with her again! We had a really good lesson with our friend Annalisa, and we were able to have a member come with us! It went amazingly, and the member was able to connect with her really well. She also was able to entertain the kids, so we could teach Annalisa without all the interr...
