Chapter 40: Short And Sweet

Image
Hello everyone!  We had an awesome lesson with our friend Jan this week! She also came to church this week and really loved it! She saw some pictures of baptism and we were able to talk about it with her. She is so amazing! Yesterday we saw our friend Jimmy in the parking lot of an apartment complex. We were able to have a lesson with him, and he has progressed so much! He is the best! We also got to help a friend change her tire. The Brooksbys came with us and we got everything fixed, so make sure you know how to change a tire everyone. You might need it some day.  Spiritual Thought: At the Visitors' Center this week, there was an invitation extended to study your favorite story of Jesus Christ, and I would like to invite all of you to do that too! Sorry for the short email, today was really busy. Love you all! Have a great week! Chapter 39: Roses And Croissants

Hey everyone!  We got a referral this week from sister missionaries in New Jersey because their friend, Jenny, moved into our area. We set up a time to meet her, and she is so amazing! She was taught about the Gospel in New Jersey, and she knows that everything is true! She wants to get baptized in July, and she is just so amazing! Her testimony is so strong, and she is so in tune with the Spirit. We went on exchanges this week, and I got to go with Sister Tatafu in their area. It was super fun, and we were able to have lessons with two of their friends! We were also able to meet some really nice people and have a really good conversation with them. I love being able to serve with so many wonderful missionaries and have some great experiences with them.  This morning, Sister Williams and I went to the Rose Gardens with Elder and Sister Brooksby, the Visitors' Center directors. It was so beautiful and there were so many cool roses. I loved seeing all of the variety, and knowing...

Happy P-day everyone!! This week has been really hot and really busy.  We had an amazing lesson with our friend Jan this week. She is super sweet, and already has a testimony of so many things. We were teaching her the Restoration, and it was incredible to see how much she already knew and agreed with. We had a wonderful discussion about prophets and the apostasy with her. She is so incredible! Also, she is reading the Book of Mormon! We gave her 3 Nephi 11 to read, and when we went over, she had already read up to 3 Nephi 18! It was so cool! She also came to church on Sunday and really loved the Relief Society lesson. It was about the Doctrine of Christ, and she really resonated with how repentance is changing to come closer to Jesus Christ. Jan is just so amazing!  Yesterday, we had a really great lesson with Jimmy! We were able to talk about the Atonement of Jesus Christ and how he can apply it into his own life. We were able to help him make some small and simple goals tha...

Chapter 37: Hello Beaverton!

Hey everyone! This week has been so crazy, but so good!  Sister Weber and I got to do the last Bible Story Time for the Visitors' Center this past week! It was super fun, and we did Joshua and the Battle of Jericho. So we took down the walls of Jericho with the two little kids that came, so if you ever need to get into a city just give us a call.  Something wild happened, and I got transferred! I am now serving with Sister Williams in the Beaverton area. It has already been amazing! I am so excited to serve with her and with the other awesome missionaries in this zone!  I got to meet one of our friends this past week. His name is Jimmy and he is literally my favorite! He is so sweet and he is on his fourth time reading the Book of Mormon. He is working towards being baptized right now, so definitely keep him in your prayers. He came to Stake Conference this past week, and he really liked it! He is just so incredible.  Spiritual Thought: I have been studying a lot abo...
