Hello everyone! Today has been so crazy, so this email will be kind of short, sorry about that.  This past week we were able to have a lesson with two of our members, Kathy and Dee. They were literally the sweetest! Dee really likes rocks, and he had a bunch of really cool ones all over the house. And then before we left, he gave both of us three small rocks! They are clear quartz, citrine, and amethyst. It was so sweet, and we had such a wonderful discussion about the temple and all the blessings that come from it. It was such a wonderful experience! This past week was transfers and on the same day, I hit one year as a missionary! I can't believe I hit a year. It has been such a wonderful time in my life, and I am excited for these next six months. To celebrate hitting a year, we had a Sister lunch and all went out together. It was a super fun time, and we got to say goodbye to Sister Andersen because she was getting transferred. I am so grateful for all of the amazing missionarie...

Hello all you children of God! I hope you had a great week! This email is coming to you today because our pdays got changed from Tuesdays to Mondays. Every Wednesday morning, we have Visitors' Center Training. When all the sisters and senior couples get together and train on skills that can help us when we are in the Visitors' Center. Except this week, we got to do baptisms for the dead as our training! It was super fun to do with all the Sisters and help those who have passed away make their first covenant with God. Also, one of my friends from home is serving in the Eugene mission, but she was coming up to the temple when I was going to be doing baptisms. It was such a miracle, because after I finished getting baptized and confirmed, I walked up to the main floor to try and find her. And as soon as I opened the door from the stairwell, she was standing right there! It was so awesome to see her, and I know that the Lord timed everything just perfectly.  This past week, I was a...

Chapter 47: This Week In Beaverton

Hello everyone!  One really cool thing that happened this week is that we were finally able to get into contact with a man named Riley who the Elders had given a Book of Mormon to. We have been texting him, but no response. So we decided to call him, and he answered and was super interested in joining a Book of Mormon study group that we have on Wednesday nights! It was such a miracle, after we had tried for so long to get in contact with him.  On Sunday, we had a lesson with our friend Zoey. She told us all about her week, and how she had went to Girls Camp and loved it! When we asked her what her favorite part was, she said that her favorite was testimony meeting on the last night. It was so sweet! Then during our lesson we talked all about the temple and how we can do baptisms for those who have passed away. She really wants to do that, and now she is just trying to pick a date when she can get baptized! It is so exciting!  Yesterday, we gave a tour around the temple t...

Hello everyone! I hope you have all had a great week and were able to stay cool. This week we got a referral, where somebody fills out a form online to meet with us, for a man named Jeremiah. We called him and gave him the information for church. And he came to church on Sunday!! It was so awesome! He really liked it, and the members of our ward welcomed him so well. We were able to talk with him after church and give him a Book of Mormon. He wants to read it and learn more about the church, and he also said he would be back next Sunday! It was such a miracle! On Saturday, we were serving at the Visitors' Center, and a summer sales bro came in and told us there was a college kid filming a video of the temple and he had some questions for us. Sister Rice and I grabbed a Book of Mormon and hurried out to talk to him. His name was Judah, and he was so cool! He had some really good questions and was super interested in the temple. We gave him a Book of Mormon, and he said he wanted to ...
